Consultation & Research

Consultation and research activities are conducted under three main groups: consultation on co-operatives, promoting new researches, and publishing completed researches. Regarding the consultation services, solutions are being recommended for problems delivered by various co-operative administrators, co-operation institutions, co-operatives, and relevant persons.

Publications

The Association has been continuing its publication activities, as keeping a significant part among its events, since the year of establishment, and started to publish a co-operative annual as of 1999.

• Periodicals

1.Karınca Co-operative Post Journal
First published in 1934, this journal is still being published as a monthly journal since then. It is a scientific reference source in the field of co-operatives. Readers are informed by various scientific, intellectual, and artistic articles.

2.Karınca Kardeş
Karınca Kardeş, published twice a year in April and October since 1988, when the Board of Directors arrived at a resolution to do so, is distributed as an insert in the journal Karınca. This insert contains works such as writings, poems, paintings of kids, as the future co-operationists, and receives a great interest.

3.Co-operative Journal
This journal, involving scientific and research articles in the field of co-operatives, is being published quarterly. After its 118th issue, it started to involve arbitration. Works of young researchers and university members are appreciated here and such published articles are presented as reference for their scientific carriers.

4.Co-operation in Turkey
This journal is addressed to co-operatives and other relevant persons, abroad. It is published in English and German and involves both co-operative events and historical and cultural values of Turkey so as to introduce our Country abroad.

Co-operation Annual
A “Co-operation Annual” is being published yearly in accordance with the resolution of 1991, in order to contribute to co-operative related studies and researches on an academic level. It is believed that this annual, with the papers of researchers and authors working under the fields of co-operatives and social sciences, co-operative statistics, legislation amendments, new publications, and various co-operative data, fills the gap in this field.

 

Foreign Relations

Under these activities, the publications of foreign countries are scanned and translated to Turkish and published in the journal Karınca, in order to assist the relevant co-operative researchers and introduce such information to the Turkish co-operative public. Representatives of the Association to participate to meetings abroad are assisted on their relevant programs

Celebrations and Press Public Relation

Co-operation celebrations are performed between June the 30th and July the 5th. As they are the anniversary of the event, when Mustafa Kemal Atatürk established the Agricultural Credit Co-operative in Silifke Tekir Farm on June the 30th 1936, and became the first member, co-operation celebrations are being traditionally performed under two separate programs in Ankara and İçel provinces.
The Founding Day of World Co-operatives of December the 21st is celebrated in Ankara, Burdur, Konya-Ereğli, and Şanlıurfa provinces. Co-operation service awards are being granted to press and publication bodies, which are engaged in relevant events and which issue papers to develop co-operation and make it known in public.
Under these activities, the Anatolian Press is scanned and various co-operative related programs are participated to in radios and televisions.

Legislation and Member Inquiries

Co-operative related legislation and organizations are scanned and any related development is acquired accordingly. Membership applications are inquired.

Archives and Documentations

Computerized systems and software are updated in order to provide the readers with a better service. Statistical documents on Turkish co-operatives are provided to co-operative statistics gathered under ICA.

Women Co-operationi

Some research activities are being conducted for celebrating the World Farmer Women Day on October the 15th.

This comite inspect all association's activities.
